PILOTE

NO LONGER AVAILABLE
For 10 years, PILOTE was the best-selling 3-part video-based French language course for young beginners

Designed from the outset to help the non-specialist primary teacher, PILOTE was used in hundreds of U.K. schools.
In the 1990's....
one in three primary schools that taught MFL used PILOTE!
PILOTE was also widely used for teaching SEN pupils at KS3.

NOW from the producers of 'Pilote', you can teach with NEW, even better 'Early Start French'

Each PILOTE pack came with a 30min approx. video, which you showed to your class in short segments. These gave children clear models of really simple but authentic speech, spoken by native speakers.

The Teacher's book suggested activities and games that gave children plenty of practice hearing and saying the new vocabulary - without boring repetiton - like the "Greetings" activity to practice "Bonjour!" and "Salut!" - "Ça va.".

Other teaching suggestions in the book included songs, practical activities and pair work - a wealth of enjoyable and effective teaching ideas for introducing a foreign language into everyday classwork across the curriculum. The INSET pack helps you prepare your own school policy for introducing a foreign language.

PILOTE was a three part course which introduced French to young learners. It was designed to build childrens' confidence so that they could communicate in a foreign language - and enjoy it!

PILOTE enabled communication from the start. It delivered:

PILOTE- as easy as 1 2 3 !

Teachers said that through PILOTE their pupils developed the confidence to tackle any new language. Parents reported that PILOTE involved them in their childrens' learning and that children want to watch the videos on a regular basis.
